It is a widely known fact that O-ring face seals help prevent leaks in various hydraulic applications with the help of O-Ring Face Seal fittings. However, these kinds of fittings should abide by SAE J1453 standard. They are manufactured from nickel-plated carbon, carbon, or stainless steel.

An Overview 

Talking about the most commonly used type, ORFS fittings like Viton, Buna-N, or 90 Durometer rings that would be a perfect seat into a groove in the fittings face.
